THE STORY BEHIND RACE LEGACY
BUILT FROM A PASSION FOR CARS.
From building DSMs in the garage to documenting the journey through filmmaking, Race Legacy was created to share the automotive lifestyle and inspire others to build something of their own.
WHO IS MIGUEL DSM?
MIGUEL MARTINEZ
Automotive enthusiast, filmmaker, creator, and the person behind Race Legacy. Miguel built his platform around documenting real automotive experiences, from builds and installs to track days and everything in between.
“I WAS JUST A KID WITH AN ABNORMAL OBSESSION FOR CARS.”
HOW IT ALL STARTED
IT STARTED WITH NEED FOR SPEED.
It started with Need for Speed Underground and watching his dad behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. When his dad eventually traded the DSM for a four-door Corolla, Miguel knew what he wanted his own first build to become: the Eclipse he had always wanted.
LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENCE
TURNING IDEAS INTO REALITY.
What started as a non-turbo Eclipse turned into something much bigger. Determined to build the car he envisioned, Miguel took on an Evo 8 4G63 swap with the help of friends in the garage. The experience built his mechanical knowledge and shaped his appreciation for properly built cars.
FROM CARS TO CONTENT
A PASSION FOR FILMMAKING.
Miguel began documenting his DSM build on YouTube and social media. What started as a way to share the build quickly became a passion for filmmaking and storytelling, and a way to connect with enthusiasts following the same automotive lifestyle.
THE BIRTH OF RACE LEGACY
MORE THAN A BRAND.
Race Legacy began with a simple idea: create automotive apparel Miguel would actually want to wear. What started with stickers grew into apparel, accessories, car parts, and a community built around the same passion.
At its core, Race Legacy is about more than products or cars. It's about building something of your own, documenting the journey, and inspiring the people around you to do the same.
BUILD. DRIVE. INSPIRE.
The cars may change. The builds may evolve. The goal stays the same: keep creating, keep driving, and leave a legacy worth remembering.
